About the Installation Assurance Authority Commercial Services (IAA CS) training
The IAA has become the go to technical authority for advice and support on energy efficiency measures having led the way on the development of technical guides for the industry, ensuring that standards are met by providing exemplary quality assurance, consumer protection and commercial services. The IAA has led the way in the delivery of effective, quality coordination services and has been fundamental to the development of current practices.
The IAA CS also offers training in courses to support industry standards including the Level 2 NVQ Diploma for Insulation and Building Treatments – Cavity Wall Insulation.
Course Outline
This course has been developed to ensure learners demonstrate their competence within a workplace environment when carrying out the role of Cavity Wall Insulation. Therefore, learners must be employed to undertake this qualification, showcasing their transferable practical skills.
This course consists of 5 mandatory units:
Added Value - The funded NVQs start with a mini bootcamp session of 2 days that fast tracks learning covering building defects and interfaces and a 1 day practical session with a registered System Designer.
£477 + VAT per delegate
*If you reside outside of England you can enrol on the NVQ for £750 + VAT
CITB Levy Grant - If you are a CITB Registered employer you could be entitled to £600 grant funding this course.
Course dates for the NVQ funded online element (practical session will be arranged at a later date)

- Insulation and Building Treatments, Building Construction, Defects and Interfaces
- Installing Cavity Wall Insulation in the Workplace
- Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace
- Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
